Luscombe 8a

Rob Stegman recently finished this 1946 Luscombe 8A restoration. It flew right before the Waco Fly-In. He's planning on taking it to both Oshkosh and Blakesburg this year.

Look for more photo's after the holidays.

My little girl had her first open-cockpit biplane ride tonite.

Waco QCF-2 pilot put the biggest smile I've ever seen on my daughters face
by giving her a ride in John Cournoyers airplane tonite.

Thanks Scott!

OT: The St Louis Zoo

I went to the Zoo yesterday with my wife and little girl. I hadn't been in a long time. I had forgotten how much fun the zoo is, especially with a little girl. The best part is, the St Louis Zoo is free, that's right free. No admission charge. You can walk around all day, sit on a park bench in the shade and eat your sack lunch and enjoy ambiance of the Zoo.

My wife and daughter pet the Rays.

The new Seal exhibit is killer! It has a viewing area that goes underwater!
Here, two seals cruise over our heads in the viewing room.

Hipp's!

My daughter was surprised by how big they are.

Great view of a Seal doing a slow roll.

Giving the airplane her Spring Bath

Finally got the Fairchild back together and bought her out into the light of day this morning to give her a belated Spring bath.

Skyler cleaned the right side of the aircraft for me.

Hosing off the soap from the top of the wing.

Lindsay helped out by cleaning the tail.

A good Father's Day outing (a little early.)
