Blakesburg---Day 1

 

This years Blakesburg is very wet and soggy.

We saw 5 deer on the drive back to the hotel.

This years AAA Blakesburg fly-in was severly impacted my multiple, heavy rainshowers leaving the grounds and runway muddy, soggy and in some spots, flooded.

 

 

Flying was cancelled Friday night and most of the day Saturday as the grass runway was too wet to support aircraft.

Oshkosh...

No updates from Oshkosh this year. My son and I are heading out to Colorado and Utah on a road trip/nature tour. Taking a break from airplanes.

I do plan on being up at Blakesburg though, even have my hotel room spoken for.

I've been to Osh 35 times...to say it's changed over the years is an understatement.

I hope all of you have a great time there, take lots of cool photos...even send me a few. I just need a break.
