One of my nearest, dearest friends was in town this weekend. We've known each other since 1971. He was the second person I gave an airplane ride to after I received my certificate. We were in the same grade in High School, played chess together, went to the same University and then went out on our separate paths.
His daughter had a volleyball tournament in town. He texted me and we had dinner together and talked for hours. If it wasn't for him having to drive back to Louisville and both of us having to go to work tomorrow, we'd still be talking.
Our friendship is at the level we just pick it up where we last left off. There's no bullshit.
Thanks Kurt. It was great seeing and talking with you.
