Went up this morning with Doug and Rod again, this time with my good cameras. Had a great time.

Ride in a Stearman.

I was out at the airport, having a cup and making my usual Saturday rounds when Rod Hightower asked me if I'd like to go up with him and Doug Watanabe in the Stearman for a little formation practice. Oh yea....

I only had my little digi-point-n-shoot with me so these pix aren't the best but at least you can share in the fun we had.

A quiet night.

A man of many needles

While I cleaned my aileron attach brackets, Glenn rib-stitched the first wing of the Standard. Not satisfied with one, nor two, nor three needles, he made his own out of welding rod. He had about 10 needles stuck in that wing at once. I walked into the hangar and it was like he was in the middle of a medievil torture device. He finished the wing by the time I went back to the airport tonite.
